![]() Considering it was the 1960's, it was revolutionary that a comic book character had his own television series. It ran for a total of 52 episodes, and was released in the United States. Its all about Peter Parker, just an everyday teenager who is bitten by a radioactive spider and gains superhero powers - he is the spiderman! And he uses his power for good, by fighting crime and supervillians who wish to dominate the world. It had many comedic elements and was very impressive for the time it was released. As mentioned earlier, what makes him so unique is that he is very human, facing his own personal problems and dealing with everyday issues we all face. For this reason, he's a superhero we can relate with. If you remember this television show, peter parker worked for the newspaper under a grumpy boss named Jonah Jameson. He consistantly slipped out of the office to save the day, and then ended up reporting it later. He always kept his identity hidden, because spiderman wanted to live a normal life. It was written by Stan Lee. |
