Marvel Comics had its popular spiderman character star in his own video game, called the amazing spiderman. It was released in 1990 on the amiga gaming system, which is a classic for all you gamers out there. The first game he ever appeared in, soon it was available on systems like the pc, commodore 64, and even the Atari. Published by Paragon Software, it was based around one of the early comic stories. Playing this game is lots of fun, and it was a thrilling way to make the comic series interactive, as you play out the stories in first person perspective.
As legend has it, Mary Jane has been kidnapped by the evil mysterio, and you must sling your way through the city in order to save her. This spiderman game is seperated into different acts and levels, and it also contains a satirical element aswell. Overall this game deserves credit for being ahead of its time, and providing excellent graphics with comic book texturing and feeling.
